“A few years ago, during a period of chronic anxiety and depression, my doctor noticed that my breathing was very shallow and that, in fact, I was holding my breath more than what would be considered healthy. I had lost touch with that intuitive "knowing how to breathe" that I once did as a baby. On referral to David Wilson, I was taught about breathing deeply, fully and joyfully—about breathing into the belly and to allowing breath to help my body stretch out tension held in various parts of the body—AND about the importance of the exhalation. That took some time—I really wanted to hold on to my tension-filled breathing habits! David's expertise, patience and perseverance (as well as my practice) paid off. I am now "addicted" to good breathing, and during times of stress or pain, can resort to that as a tool for relaxing mind and body and for achieving a sense of calm and peace. What's more—I have learned to sing with more power and confidence!”

Breathing for Better Health Workshops

All of who we are can be discovered through our breathing patterns. Focussing on our breath leads to the recognition of our undesirable somatic habits, so that we may allow more healthy patterns to assert themselves. These workshops are life-affirming, joyous, and most of all, fun.
